Vic Firth Signature Series - Peter Erskine Ride Wood Tip Drumsticks - Product Information
Vic Firth SPE2 Peter Erskine Ride Wood Tip Drumsticks feature an extra long taper and tear drop tip for enhanced cymbal response. Beefed-up shaft for extra power.
These sticks feel great for playing bebop tempos--it feels like the stick does almost all of the work for you with minimum effort. I love the tone these cymbals extract from my cymbals, and the feel on the drums themselves is not awkward as with some other sticks. It definitely took a minute for me to get used to these sticks, but now I love them and need them in my stick bag! Would absolutely recommend to any serious jazz drummer!

Great pair of sticks. Well balanced. They give a good sound and they respond well on cymbals.

superb sticks
Comments:
These are some of the best sticks I have used in over 70 years of playing. The cymbal sounds are outstanding, and excellent for latin or the big band sound. I have used the regal nylon tips for years to get the sound I want out of a cymbal. These sticks almost totally replace. Well balanced, and not to hard to grip. I highly recommend. Not for the boomers and crashers.:-)

PE Ride Stick
Comments:
Another great stick from the leader in the industry. The Vic Firth PE Ride Stick was just what I was looking for.
It has a great feel to it. Not overly thin, well balanced weight. The response off the ride cymbal is terrific. Most likely due to the longer taper on the shoulder section. Finally, the "tear drop tip" really brings out the true sound of the ride cymbal. If you're searching for that perfect stick for playing jazz, give this one a try.
