The Vic Firth Slim Pad provides the feel of a contemporary marching snare drum. The Slim Pad is made of a very thin rubber surface that is mounted on a sturdy wooden base and has a similar attack and response of modern kevlar marching snare drum heads.

14 mil mylar laminates for the Heavy Hitter Slim Pad are also available, giving the player maximum articulation and a more accurate feel of a Kevlar-headed drum.

My daughter decided she wanted to be in band this year.. But she didnt want to play anything but a drum. So the band director at her school sent home a list of stuff she would need. Tried to find it local but every place we tried they didnt have what we needed .. So we ordered it from steveweissmusic.com . They had everything instock and it was cheaper than the local places.
