The Vic Firth American Custom T1 General Timpani Mallets are for all-around playing. Produces rich sound yet is capable of rhythmic clarity. Vic Firth American Custom Timpani Mallets are turned from a single piece of rock maple, which eliminates a core that could rattle and the need for a screw-on washer to secure the head. Length: 14 1/2 inches, Head: 1 1/2 inches.

Amazing mallets

These mallets are amazing starter mallets for timpani. They don't have an easily breakable seam like most do, rather having a inside seam, which is harder to break. These got me and two of my friends through last concert season and will probably last us multiple seasons to come. As a bonus, the price isn't too bad either.

Good for beginners

These mallets will do the job for beginners, but for more serious percussionists, I would not recommend these.

Great quality, great price

Beautifully made. I use these with tambourines teaching children's dance. Wrapped the upper handle to protect the wood from damage when playing it on the side of the tambourine. Nice balance in the hand.
