The Vic Firth VicKick Cajon Bass Beater features a round rubber head that produces a warm full bass tone with a defined subtle attack. Drum set players have found this to be a useful bass drum beater as well unlocked unique tonal colors.

Good for cajon and more

Some other beaters I've tried have produced better bass, but this beater has a great attack. It's a little more articulate that some other fleece beaters, but not harsh. It brings out more of the snare response, which could be a positive or negative, depending on what your needs are. As a bonus, I've tried it on drums like djembe and djuun djuun set up to be played like bass drum, and this beater is great for those uses as well!
