I suppose I shouldn't expect much from a $15 flexatone, but this thing is essentially useless. Don't waste your money; get a LP model instead.

Close in a pinch, but could be better

I normally really love all the Weiss Brand products but I think this one could have been done a little better. It's obviously not going to be like the LP one but the metal they picked for bending has almost no resonance to it. So right next to it or out in the hall it doesn't sound that great at all. I could see using this for events where you might need several flexatones for rehearsals (District or State Band Events) but overall I wouldn't recommend using this in a concert setting. Would love to see if Weiss could find a different more resonant metal to use.
