Very good product; however, I wish I could obtain the type of "American" felt available in the past that was not quite as soft and was more compacted then this product is. It seems that there is a convergence going on between the softness of the "American" felt and the German felt. While they are still different in appearance, they are sounding more and more the same.

More like German Felt

I bought this felt to recover my hard felt sticks, such as Duff #1 and DH1. When I received the felt, first thing I noticed was that it is much softer than I expected. In fact, it is almost as soft as the German felt I ordered with this felt. The felt itself is pretty good, so it is usable to recover some regular sticks but not for hard sticks. So I recommend this felt for recovering your practice mallets or medium mallets (Duff #3 for example.)
