Weiss Untuned Almglocken Set For Heerdenglocken in Mahler 6th & 7th - Product Information
This is the Almglocken set to use in the performances of Mahler's 6th and 7th.
Almglocken are bulbous brass bells used as a melodic or percussive instrument in music. Sometimes refereed to as Tuned Cowbells or Alpine bells, the different pitches were used by farmers to identify different animals in their heard. Over the years these bells have been recrafted into producing naturally rustic, rich and distinct tones for use in musical performances. The Weiss Almglocken are hand made in Germany and then hand selected by our overseas contact. Most of the time they are tuned chromatic sets. This set of untuned bells has been selected for the Mahler pieces
