Williams-Tablature Transc. for Mbira Dzavadzimu vol. 5 - Product Information
Since the publication of my first book, Learning Mbira: A Beginning... (HoneyRock Publications, 2001), I have had many requests for additional volumes of mbira transcriptions. After having collected many new songs in tablature notation, I decided perhaps the most efficient way to meet this demand was to make them available in several "mini-volumes" of four tunes in each volume. This is the fifth (and final) volume of the series, representing some odds and ends from my remaining collection of transcriptions.
Volume 5 includes ten previously unreleased transcriptions. Some are lengthy, while others may consist of a kushaura and one or two variations. If you are unfamiliar with the notation, you may see my article from Percussive Notes magazine titled, "Getting Started with Mbira dzaVadzimu," for a detailed description of how the notation works.
