Previous snare stand I had weighed approximately 8 lbs. this weighs about 3 lbs. coupled with the crosstown HH stand I also purchased cut down about 18 lbs. in my hardware bag; enabling me to lift it without any problem. Yamaha has reputation for great hardware. The older you get the lighter you want your kit and hardware to be. Have had no issues with this stand and highly recommend to anyone looking to take the weight out of their gear.

Just what the doctor ordered! I discovered this hardware when one of my students brought in a crosstown snare stand. I immediately went online an ordered a crosstown hi stand, snare stand, Iliminating 12 lbs off my trap case. The equipment works great. When Yamaha comes out with crosstown boomstands I'll be right on board!
