This stand is a very high quality product. It has good weight; for any cymbal, moderate size wind chimes and even temple blocks. It expands and locks easily and reliably. Sits firmly on the surface. Great appearance. Highly recommended. You'll be pleasantly surprised at the engineering on this stand.

I've known for years that Yamaha makes some of the worlds finest musical equipment, so my decision to buy this stand for my son was a no brainer. With that said and given the price, I was expecting a well built but light weight stand as the name implied. Boy was I surprised! This stand has some weight to it and isn't light at all.
