The Yamaha Tour Custom Drum Sets had their design inspired by the fact that the world's largest touring and music festival companies state that the most requested drums and hardware are Yamaha. The shells of the Tour Custom are an all maple 6ply design with a 45 degree bearing edge. This creates tonal depth with a quick response and perfect sustain. The wide tuning range allows these shells to function in any musical style.
The Toms feature the Yamaha YESS mounts that are designed to minimize the contact between the shell and mount. This delivers a wide dynamic range and longer sustain. The Absolute Lugs and die-cast bass drum hooks provide noise free function and a classy look
