Hoey-Yaqui Indian Suite-P/3T/X - Product Information
Yaqui Indian Suite is based on Yaqui Indian Folk Tunes. This two movement work is ideal for young players and beginners. The following instruments are used in these compositions.
; Xylo Marimba (4-Octave), Temple Blocks, Maracas, Bongos, Tambourguiro*, Roto Toms, Cowbell with Wood Striker, Congas, Snare Drum, Timbales, Timpani (A-D-Eb), Triangle
*(from the program notes) Tambourguiro is a new percussion instrument, which is a double row tambourine, with a wood sound board, that has serrations. This gives the effect of both the guiro and the tambourine. It is to be activated and played with a guitar pick. Tambourine and Guiro may be substituted and played separately. Guiro should be played with a guitar pick when notated as a special notation.
