Performing, arranging, and composing from a very young age, Nate competed in state and national competitions receiving Superior ratings throughout his high school experience, which was cut short when he received a full scholarship from the award winning Snow College Jazz Department. Spending a year studying with Scott Wilson and Jay Lawrence at Snow College in Ephraim Utah, Nate was featured both as a soloist and composer in concerts and tours including a performance with Grammy award winning Las Vegas Academy. At this point, Nate was offered a contract with Universal Studios located in Osaka, Japan which he accepted. Nate performed with the three highest ranked performing groups at Universal Studios Japan for 11 months in 2006.
