Marimba 2 anchors the groove throughout, functioning in a role similar to a drumset\n    player, while the upper voices expand and reshape the material.\n\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003e\n    The vibraphone parts include opportunities for improvisation, allowing performers to interact with the harmonic\n    framework and rhythmic patterns established by the marimbas. Additional techniques, such as dead strokes and hand\n    damping, add variation in articulation and color.\n\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003e\n    Push requires strong ensemble awareness, rhythmic precision, and confident four-mallet technique across the marimba\n    parts.
