I found a wooden chopping board and a knife making an enjoyable sound, and immediately marimba and mallets flashed in my mind. In this piece, each movement was inspired by the different types of cooking process that use wooden chopping boards, and those are demonstrated by various types of glissandi\/portamenti, increasing\/decreasing intervals and layers, as well as extended marimba techniques.
