In 1983 she completed requirements for her MM degree and Performer's Certificate in percussion at the Eastman School of Music under the guidance of teacher John Beck. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eSince 1984 Ms. McGuire has served as Percussion Instructor and Assistant Jazz Ensemble Director at Nazareth College in Rochester, New York. Her duties there also include directing the college percussion ensemble. She is also an artist-in-residence at the Aesthetic Education Institute, President of the NYS Chapter of the Percussive Arts Society, and serves on the Board of Directors of the International PAS.
