When my daughter broke a mallet at school I was at a loss to replace it. I googled the mallet and found this website and the product needed. I'm using these for my college auditions and owning two pairs these are pretty much my go-to mallets for every solo. I love the weighting and rebound they give off as well as just the way they feel.

I love these mallets. I love the feel, the sound, and the flexibility of them! I want to use them for everything if I could.

Although this says full range mallet, I find a rich sound in the bass but a dead sound from mid range to top.

I have this whole series from soft to hard: six densities. Very specific attack feel on all of them. Moderate only rebound so better for control. The heads on these are not color-coded so you need to look at the head shape to tell them apart: all the head shapes are different. This takes a little practice and sometimes I have to look at the label on the mallet handle too. So, not so efficient in identifying the head density as compared to color-coded heads.

these mallets are very comfortable, and i think that birh mallets are alot easier to hold than rattan
