My daughter, high school percussionist LOVES this bag. She currently has her concert sticks, mallets and music in it, but it is large enough for her marching sticks and music in the fall during marching season. I like it because it is very well made and at the same time not extremely heavy.

I carry multiple things for multiple gigs. This bag fits it all! In the daytime I am in school and it fits:
1st pocket- 5 subject notebook, 1" binder, symphony music folder, and laptop.
2nd pocket- drum pad, igloo lunch bag, two paperback books approx. 2" in width each, pencil case, and other accessories.
Stick Bag: 6 pairs of assorted mallets, two pairs of drum sticks. Outer pocket has my triangle, triangle beater, tuning fork, two small black towels.
Vic Firth really hit the nail on the head with suiting a players/students needs!!!!
I highly recommend!!!!

The backpack can hold quite a lot of stuff including multiple books and even a full sized practice pad. The stick bag has enough room for 2 pairs of brushes, 2 pairs sticks and other assorted stick types. Only downside is that the zipper pulls tend to come off.
