Vic Firth Corpsmaster MTS1 Tenor Sticks

The Vic Firth MTS1 Tenor Stick is a perfect choice when you're looking for the same great feel of a snare stick‚ but with a slightly shorter length for tenors. The unique nylon tip helps pull more sound from the drum and gets great articulation...

Great Sticks

Comments:

They have great rebound and great feel to them. The only downside to these sticks is that they leave dents and marks in the drums but we continue to use them for marching shows. Great sticks!

The nylon isn't good for drum heads

Comments:

It has decent tonality and the articulation and consistency is much better than the tradition wood tip. However, the completly destroys the drum head due to the density and the shape of the tip and we use Remo Pinstripe on our tenors (which usually lasts a marching season or two depending on how hard you play). Within a few weeks of purchase, my drum heads were being broken every week and they were tuned and I don't play too hard. I would really only recommend these for performances and solo works but definitely not for practice.

cool stucks

Comments:

I bought these for my son, as recommended, by his instructor for the Alta Loma High School Ent. Corp. He say they are real cool! Fyi, SWM was awesome, shipping them in 3 days upon a verbal request!! That is very refreshing!!

Everything I asked for

Comments:

The sticks I received were equal in weight and created the same tone, which is what I worried about the most. Just request that they be even and they do the best they can. I've yet to receive a bad pair of sticks from either Vic Firth or Steve Weiss.

Pretty Good!

Comments:

This tenor mallet has been my school's choice all 4 years I've been here. The first two years I had the worst problem with the stick flying out of my hand because they would get too sweaty on the plastic coating. The problem was soon remedied with a full stick tape instead of just half stick. Overall that is my only complaint. The stick is great and very durable as long as you keep it well taped.

awesome

Comments:

Amazing Stick. I used them just starting out on tenors, and while I've tried other sticks, none compare to the all-around use of this one. Lasted me a whole season and a sumer before i had to pull out my second pair. Just a great-feeling, durable Tenor stick.

Amazing

Comments:

I've played tenors for about three years and I started out using the old metal short ones... These are so much better definitely buy. I now have 4 pairs they also last longer if you tape them with electrical tape. Tape them with your school colors.

Comments:

We used these sticks for this past marching season. They were a great change from our old Innovative pairs. They are well balanced and light-weight. The nylon tips help "pull" sound out of the drums and make it easier for scrapes and sweeps. I cracked one toward the end of the season but they are very durable.

Amazing

Comments:

This was my first year playing the tenors for my marching band but I've had drumming experience for years, these were amazing sticks and even with my inexperience with the quads they didnt break one. I highly recommend them for beginners and professional players.
