Pearl Mesh Drum Heads

Pearl's Muffle Drum Heads allow you to silently practice anytime while maintaining the feel of a regular drum head. Pearl Mesh Drums Heads are manufactured of a super strong mesh fabric that responds like a regular drum head, while producing virtually...

The Pearl muffle heads work very well!

Comments:

I'm enjoying the Pearl muffle heads and love the rebound they give. Very quiet so they're hardly noticeable in other parts of the house. Much better than my previous rubber practice pad.

Highly functional

Comments:

I don't know why I didn't do these years ago. Get a couple of cheap shells and set yourself up with a more realistic practice set. If you leave a nicely tuned resonant head un-muffled, you will also get some tom and snare sound. Great for days at home spent trapped indoors due to COVID restrictions, weather, or whatever else. If your spouse complains after you get these, get rid of the spouse.

Great drum head!

Comments:

I own a music school and my soundproofing isn't as good as it should be. The mesh heads are the perfect solution. They are amazingly quiet and the feel is just like a regular head. Bravo!

Mess heads

Comments:

I purchased a 10", 2-14" and a 22" BD. I feel that the heads are slightly over sized. This I feel makes the tension rods loosen as you play. I seem to have to tighten the heads before I use them. The 22" BD head lasted about two weeks then the bass drum beater went through it. It was a felt beater and I'm not a heavy playing drummer. I can tell you one thing. My neighbor loves them, that's for sure!

PEARL MUFFLE HEADS

Comments:

If you have noise restraints where you practice these Muffle Heads are your answer. Don't waste your time with "rubber silencer pads" that have no stick rebound, like normal heads. The Muffle Heads are more like a regular heads and they are pretty durable, BUT. I put my foot through the bass head the second day I got them, so if you are a heavy hitter, find an old rubber practice pad, ( my pad is 6" rubber HQ ) and glued it directly on to bass head where beater hits, and it will take a beating with rubber glued on to head. Have been practicing with these for 2 years now, and no other rips or issues, and bass drum with glued pad has held up over the, hole, I put in it, since day 2..... Best choice out there for quiet practice..

Great heads

Comments:

Bought a set of these for two reasons. One was to combine with triggers for my hybrid set and the other was so I co practice at home without being annoying. These accomplished both at one time and to me they have a great feel. Not completely silent but VERY close. Shipping and customer service from this site is awesome. Will be using them a lot from now on.

Need one other size

Comments:

I too like the Pearl mesh heads, but I need a 6" size for my roto-toms. ALSO, how about making them available in white in addition to the black?

Mesh Drum Heads

Comments:

These make the perfect practice pad. If you have an old drum to spare, they're very quiet (much quieter than any practice pad I've used) and the rebound is really good. I'll probably never purchase a practice pad again.

Pearl mesh heads ideal for trigger use

Comments:

I've tried another brand of mesh head and was not happy with the performance or feel if it at all. The Pearl mesh head delivers just the right amount of attack for use with Roland triggers. I am very pleased with this item to say the least.

Perfect for acoustic drums.

Comments:

I covered my whole acoustic kit with these mesh heads, so now I can bang away at all hours in near silence and not bother a soul. What I like about them is they give you the tone of the drum sizes with the same rebound feel of the heads I play out with. Since I got these I sold off my electronic set.

Great for our Music Studio!

Comments:

These mesh heads were an answer to our lack of sound-proofing in our music studio! Students feel that they are playing 'the real thing' but the rest of us don't have to hear it at full volume! I'm so excited with the results. Thanks for this great invention! Keys to Creativity Music Studio, VA

Pearl mesh heads

Comments:

This is my second set of Pearl mesh heads that I've been using on my edrums. The first set lasted over 5 years of heavy hitting. Great value compared to other mesh heads.

Mesh Drum Heads

Comments:

Received the package quickly and in very good condition. Head is well constructed and easy to install. Tone quality on a 14 inch snare drum is actually pretty good and, "Yes!," it is very quiet. The thriller is the rebound. When you tighten it up; it will "boing" your stick back up which makes it a whole lot of fun...think "Superball." Head also has surprisingly good snare response for rolls. If you need to work your set on the QT Hush, this is one very good solution...especially for the aspiring heavy metal player in your family. Leave it to Steve to find the hard to track down stuff. Keep up the good work. "I shall return!"

perfect for recording..

Comments:

This is perfect for someone who wants to play on a real kit, but not get the real sound. I'm using these mesh kick heads for recording. This way, my tom, snare and cymbal sounds won't be bled out by the loud kicks.

AWESOME!

Comments:

These things are awesome. I can practice on my acoustic set as much as I want without making noise. So much better feel than my electronic set. I get a true rebound and the relative pitch of the drum sizes. I'm selling my electronic set now to pay for upgrades to my acoustic kit.

Quality Heads

Comments:

These heads are cheap only in price. The quality is top notch. It took me over a year to wear through my bass drum head. I play almost every day. Just be sure you do NOT use felt beaters.

Pearl mesh drumheads

Comments:

I have ordered and fitted a complete set of these on a new acoustic drumkit which I am converting to an electric/acoustic hybrid set. Not a big fan of mesh heads, but these are exceptionally well-made and feel amazingly like a real acoustic drum. Fitted on a snare, there is an audible but very muted snare sound which is nice for practicing. I hit pretty hard-these are holding up better than I thought-showing no wear at all after about a week of steady playing. And tension is adjustable through a wide range so that stick response can be realistically adjusted to mimic a large tom response up to a super-tight piccolo snare or small tom. Can do buzz rolls real well too. Best prices I've found for these are right here at Steve Weiss Music.
