Balter 46R Mallets

Comments:

These are fantastic mallets! They play exactly as advertised. A warm sound yet with a clear attack and wide range of dynamic effectiveness. I have been playing original Albrights and these are coming out of the bag first now.

Great sticks!

Comments:

Like many people here I ordered two pairs of these as a general vibe set, and they've been everything I could need so far. Super crisp response for fast and hard lines, and great for voicing chords at softer levels. Great choice for a collection expansion or general 2/4 mallet set.

Awesome mallets

Comments:

I have been playing the Vibraphone for about 4 years and these mallets lasted 2 YEARS of the 4. They were my only pair at the time and were absolutely great. You can get soft and loud tones and is just a great inbetween!

Great Mallets

Comments:

I ordered 2 pairs as a general vibe set, and I was blown away. Awesome mallets, killer sound, soft cord around a fairly hard hard core. They sound great on the entire range of the vibes, and can articulate well without giving overtones, but can also deliver a soft sound when needed. My one complaint (which goes for all Balter mallets) is the handle width. Personally, I like a thinner mallet shaft for changing intervals, but that's just my preference. These are a touch thick, but nonetheless, great all-around mallet, great price, (and great look).

Excellent!

Comments:

So far they have been a perfect go-to mallet! Excellent tone, awesome feel, you cant go wrong with tie dye mallets. Only had them for 3 weeks so I dont know about their durability, but so far I love them!

Found My Perfect Mallet

Comments:

I am so happy I checked these mallets out... they are just what I have been looking for. The weight, length and head size all feel just right. They do not feel heavy in your hands, which is nice for four-mallet playing. The sound is excellent at all dynamic levels. Nice and full sounding at quiet to medium loud playing with a nice bite when played hard, yet with a fullness in tone. Really good for mallet dampening, with very little contact noise. This is an excellent mallet made by a fine manufacturer for a great player. Well done Mike Balter and Tony Miceli.

Nice

Comments:

These are just what I needed. They are a lightweight, which is great for my new vibe with K&K pick-ups. With my regular mallets, the loudest notes would clip the signal a little. K&K recommends lighter mallets, so I tried these, and they are great. They were well priced and arrived quickly.

i like them ;-)

Comments:

well i hope everyone likes my mallets! i worked hard with mike balter to get make them into something that i thought would be of value to vibe players. i think many times vibe players use sticks that are too soft! and then the audience can't hear you play! what's the point then? so i tried to make a mallet that was hard enough to cut through and also had some of the qualities of a soft mallet. there's a trade here and a line. i tried to balance that line. remember 'if the audience can't hear you, then they don't know how good you play'!!

great mallet

Comments:

this is a great all-purpose vibe mallet. nice fat sweet spot, gets a good tone in the low register, but you can also lay into it and make the bars bark if that's what you're after. good, comfortable weight, enough to make the bar sing but not unmanageable. short-ish handle, which I find makes the mallet a little more agile. fun yarn colors.
