This is perhaps the best value proposition I have ever seen for timpani covers. Excellent quality, great fit, and great value!

We had the same problem as another reviewer (Joe Cochran) i.e. after a few decades, the interior foam lining disintegrated and turned to an annoying black dust that got everywhere. However, one of the sales associates at Steve Weiss assured us that the newer product used a different padding foam. No complaints about the outer nylon shells. They held up great and it seemed a shame to get rid of them. We bought a new set for the orchestra's timpani and after about ten years they look and function like new. Getting another for our 20" Timpano. No reservations at all about this product.

I have purchase one set of 23" 26" 29" &32" covers for a busy community group with which I perform. These will be great, the padding will give much need protection for our play-out concerts. I will soon be purchasing a set for a brass band too!

These are really well made with lots of great cushioning. I use them on my Goodman/Lang 29" & 26" pedals and on all my chain timpani. The picture on this website shows a cover that looks flimsy and wrinkled. These covers won't wrinkle because the thick material and the foam keep them stiff yet plyable enought to slip on and off. FYI- The 29" worked great for my 31" chain so measure your drums and contact the company to get the right sizes. Well worth the money and a great cover.

I bought these covers (3 total) to cover Timpani in a local middle school. They are heavy duty and perfect for this situation paired with the felt protectors (which are also heavy duty). I recommend them highly.

I had my Timpani refinished in platinum and will be taking them on the road. I needed to protect my investment. These covers are the best! They are well made and include great padding, a zipper for easy on/off and size markings for confused roadies. Well made cover, decent padding, quality zipper. Can't beat the price! My other two Timpano are jealous, they only have half covers. Might have to splurge and get a couple more of these.

I just bought 4 timpani covers and have used them twice. The covers look nice and fit my Yamaha drums 23,26,29,32 well, but I'm a little worried that they won't last very long. I just realized that after two times moving the drums with the covers in place a couple of small tears appeared in the top of the 32". I must have snagged it on something, but can't figure out how it happened and I don't recall running into anything sharp or ruff. For the price the covers are good, but I am disappointed to find out that the material isn't more tear resistant.

This is the third set of covers that I have purchased from Steve Weiss. The first set lasted about twenty years with moderate use so they must be doing something right. I replaced my original covers as well as buying some for some new additional drums. This last set was for a friend's teaching studio. Covers and head protectors are the best investments you can make for timpani.

Well made with thick padding. Zipper makes installation a breeze. Far nicer than Ludwig branded covers.

I have had these covers for a few years and I couldn't be happier. They are light, but sturdy, fit well, and easy to use. The zipper makes them easy to put on and take off. There is room for a head protector and for a protruding fine tuner. They are great for gig drums and repel water if it's raining while loading in or out. I highly recommend these covers and the price can't be beat!

I have had Steve Weiss Liberty covers on my Ludwig timpani for many years. They are well made, easy to fit, have very sturdy zippers, and are reasonably priced. They also have two metal grommets at the bottom of the zipper so you can lock the covers on the drum using a pad lock with a long hasp. I only locked my drums when I deliver them early to a theater pit gig before rehearsals start. The only problem I have encountered with these covers is that after twenty years, the interior lining starts to disintegrate and turn to black dust. The same thing happened to cymbal bags of the same age made with similar material. I just ordered two replacement bags and except to get another twenty years or so happy use with the covers. These covers are quite nice for the price, plenty of padding and protection, zipper on the side, and even holes to lock the cover if you like. A bargain!

I wanted to let you know the timp covers that I received are VERY nice, and certainly protect the drums BETTER than most other 'commercial' covers. I am very happy with them....
