Roc-N-Soc Timpani Throne (ROC-TIMPANI)

This is the Roc-N-Soc timpani, conductors throne. The five point base and foot ring offer unsurpassed stability, while the"original" bicycle seat and backrest can't be beaten for comfort and support. The seat swivels and is a thick contoured...

Awesome

Comments:

I bought this chair to play guitar on and it's everything I have been looking for. The height range is great for playing guitar and being able to comfortably reach your pedalboard and the door the rest easily slides up and locks to control the height of the foot rest so you can make it fit the length of your legs to keep your leg at the right angle for your guitar to rest on. The seat cushion is extremely comfortable, thick pad which is firm yet soft at the same time and also swivels around. And lastly the back rest is adjustable but gives me great lower back support to keep me from hunching over too much and getting in pain. I have seen other chairs that have one or some of these features but this is the first that I have seen that has ALL of these features and it's great for guitar players as well. This sites service was also great and shipped my package VERY fast and packaged it very well too. Worth every dollar if you've been contemplating buying this.

Ideal for timpani

Comments:

Expensive? Yes. Perfect for timpani playing? Yes. If you make more than one pedal change per minute, you need this chair! The bicycle-style seat is very comfortable, and functional. (I tried a standard square seat chair: no good with four drums.) The foot ring also stays put (if you don't stand up on it, as apparently some guys have tried!). Just remember to install the ring on the center post before attaching the base and seat. Very sturdy, yet surprising easy to carry to and from gigs. Securely and professionally packed, too. A winner all around (.. . except for that price tag).

Great for both keyboard and guitar

Comments:

I ordered this Roc-n-Soc Timpani Throne for playing digital piano as well as guitar. I wanted to be able to stand and play the keys OR sit on a stool without changing the height of the keyboard stand. I also wanted a more comfortable seat for playing guitar. Everything about it is perfect - comfortable, adjustable, and sturdy. The back rest is great. Nice that it swivels. The foot ring can be adjusted to the right height. -- Also, the guy who took my order over the phone was friendly and helpful. He confirmed that this was the right stool for me. The boxes came quickly. I would definitely order from Steve Weiss Music again. Makes me want to start playing percussion!

Roc-N-Soc Throne

Comments:

Great throne! Swivels easily, nice back support, the bicycle seat is very comfortable and makes pedaling much easier than standard seats. The foot rest is also nice. The only issue is that the base will slide too easily on the floor. Best throne I have tried.

Get It!!!

Comments:

After too many gigs of playing on a throne without a back rest, I finally forked out the cash for this seat. I now use it as a high school band director. This seat is great! It is very stable, comfortable, and well constructed. My choir director borrowed it one day and is now getting one of his own. My only regret is that I did not get one earlier!
