The Mike Balter MBMB Mallet Bag is a barrel style bag made from coated nylon. Each end opens allowing the player access from both sides. Holds 30-50 pairs of mallets. Includes a reinforced shoulder strap.
My favorite barrel bag is the Humes and Berg. The Balter is a different bag - smaller bag, more flexible material, no internal dividers. But you have access from either end, and can get quite a good number of mallets in the bag. I'm pleased, and feel it's a good value for the money (about 1/2 the price of the Humes and Berg).

Just what I needed
Comments:
Great bag, and exactly what I needed. No frills and not too expensive. I use it when I only need a small number of mallets/sticks and there's no need to bring one of my larger bags or cases. If anything, I wish it was about 10% smaller.

Good Product. Great Price.
Comments:
This bag is sturdy and does exactly what it is meant to do. There are no external pockets or organizational features on the inside, but since this product is so inexpensive compared to similar ones, I won't mind fashioning my own. I highly recommend this for those looking for a sturdy, everyday mallet bag.

Great Inexpensive Mallet Bag
Comments:
Works great for a small drumline worth of mallets and sticks. I keep about 5 pairs of bass drum mallets, 6 pairs of snare sticks, and 3 pairs of tenor sticks, and could even fit more! Construction is pretty good, but i'm sure over time the material might fray and tear. Also the zippers on both ends are a little silly. My reason for complaining about it is because it's just another thing to eventually break. Overall for the price it's great!

Worked Great!
Comments:
The only problem we had was that his practice pad doesnt fit inside the bag. He has to carry it in his backpack. Smaller than it looks in picture, but worked great. My child is small so it was easy for him to carry. When this one wears out we will replace it with the same.

Okay
Comments:
I just got this bag and it's more flimsy than I expected. It is a cheap bag and it does hold a lot of mallets, but it's very thin and there is very little mallet protection. It's great if you just want to carry around a small selection during the day, but I would recommend spending more for a reliable bag that will last.

Balter Bag
Comments:
So it's cheap and it holds a lot of mallets. That's awesome, Unfortunately, there is no option for organization. When you're looking for stuff and your bag is pretty full and your mallets look generally the same, its difficult to find the ones you're looking for. Along with that, it offers no protection for your mallets and, for me at least, one of the zippers (there is on on both ends of the bag) is always partially open. If that happens or I leave it open for a bit and then it falls over, my sticks and mallets go all over the place.
It has some pros for sure, but in my opinion, there are definitely more flaws.

Defect
Comments:
The zipper on one end of the bag had a small section that did not get sown to the bag. So there is small hole between the zipper and the bag. The rest of the bag is fine.

Great!
Comments:
I love this bag. I just got it today, so I don't know if its sturdy and all that, but I was having a rough time with bags because the next size up was huge, but I was in a middle size and it wouldn't close! This fits all my mallets and sticks! I was amazed. My only complaint is I have no place to put my towel, key, tuning stuff, and that type of thing.

Very good bag!

Great way to hold a lot of mallets. There's not a lot in the way of organization, but for the price, you can fit many a mallet. BUY IT, YOU FIENDS!
