I completely disagree with others who say this met is a waste of money. I bought one of these back in 2005 and it still works perfectly to this day. If it stops working and resets itself to 120, that just means it needs a new battery, and if it broke because you dropped it, that's your fault. It has a wider range of tempi than some other cheap metronomes and all the variations of rhythms and time signatures that you could ever need. It was great when I used to play a lot of marimba. I would clip in onto my back pocket and plug my Vic Firth isolation headphones into it and go to town. Because of it's small size I just keep it in my mallet bag. For the price, it doesn't get any better than this.

I'm the cheapest percussion you will ever meet. Obviously, I bought this because it was the cheapest option available. After a few uses, it just stopped working. Simple as that. Though I'm cheap, ended up wasting money on this product. Don't make my mistake!!! Buy at least the next model upwards!!

i have had this metronome for a little over a year now. I recently replaced the battery because the original died. Before i replaced the battery it worked great, i was so glad i got this metronome. Now i have dropped it a couple timems, but either way it shouldn't be doing what it does. At random times, sometimes with the gentlest touch, and sometimes when im not even touching it, it will reset to original settings. This is really annoying. Maybe this is because i got it from A****n.com, but it shouldn't be doing this. Overall great metronome when it works.

It's hard to give this a rating. The features all are very nice, but I bought it twice and it broke after regular use both times. For the price, I don't want to keep buying this over and over again.
Need something more long-lasting.

This little thing might be small and portable but it packs a big wallop. Perfect for the musician on the go or not willing to dish out a bigger Dr. Beat. Works really well when tucked into one's pocket with I-Pod headphones connected.

Excellent metronome. No, it doesn't have the crazy amount of features as the large (and expensive) DB-90, but for the price, every percussionist should use this tool in practicing. It isn't even drowned out by the instruments!

Features are very good. Unfortunately both the first and second replacement from Guitar Center broke after three to six weeks. Seems that the DB30 goes hay wire. It did not hold a BPM setting and automatically reset to 120 BPM. Then it would stop after about 20 or 30 seconds. For $40 this should work work a lot longer. Will not buy a Boss product again due to their lousy return policy and shoddy quality.

I've gone through two of these metronomes...
I should have stopped after the first one suddenly stopped working forever - and I found the Warranty from Boss to be worthless! However, I really liked the features and price, so I tried it again. And again it stopped working for no apparent reason.
If I could go back, I would have made the investment in a better quality product.
