These drums are simple incredible! The tone that they produce is very round and blends very well with an ensemble. The updated hardware looks very cool and works flawlessly. The wrap that I purchased is the white marine pearl and I love how it looks! Very classy with a modern twist. The versatility with these drums is also astounding. You can play anything on them and it will sound just right! I use this as my main kit but it could also be a great gigging kit if you're a person with multiple kits. This one will hold up.

Best set for the price. Period.

This set is miles and miles beyond any other under $1000. In every way a joy to play, move, and hear. The custom Gretsch/Evans heads that come on it are amazing, not some cheap factory heads. I will die a little inside when I have to replace them. I use this kit for a warm sound in acoustic sets, and in my teaching studio for my shorter students. Can't beat it!

I bought this kit back in November 2010 and I have not been disappointed. A fantastic buy at an amazing price point. I have played in small clubs to large halls and it has always delivered. I highly recommend this kit to anyone....easy to move around...sets up in a flash and sounds...ssooooooooo...warm....Gorgeous!!!!!! Well done Gretsch!!!!

Small Drums-Big Sound

This drumset could easily sell for price ranges in the thousands. The mahogany shells make this set sound bigger than drumsets that sell for thousands of dollars. Can be used in all styles of music, but is best suited for jazz or funk. Just an all around great set and great deal.

Wow, this set delivers! the moment I got it out of the box and tuned it up I was in awe. this set is absolutely incredible!! wonderfully made, i recommend this set to anybody, BUY THIS SET!!!!!!
