Featuring a one ply steam bent Ash shell, removable internal muffling, a natural calfskin head, and 36 custom Jingles, the Luft German Silver Oxblood Tambourine is musical, articulate, and is responsive in a wide variety of dynamic ranges. German Silver provides a bright and shimmering tonality with enhanced sustain, which is likely due to the extensive hammering and crimping methods used in manufacturing the jingles. The result is an incredible instrument which only opens up more as the head is played in.
Marc Damoulakis Signature Tambourine
Contrasting the bright and shimmering sounds of the German Silver Oxblood Tambourine, the Damoulakis Signature Tambourine features a Bronze and German Silver Mix of jingles which are custom prepared with an extensive hammering and crimping process. With slightly smaller jingles than its Oxblood Tambourine counterpart, the tonality of this instrument is dry and articulate, yet incredibly responsive. It is also comprised of a solid steam bent Ash shell, 36 jingles, and a natural calf head. It also features built in muffling which is easily removable should the player wish.
