I bought this and it has sounded so good. I think these are better than any name brand chinas and at a fraction of the cost they are truly a great deal. One of my favorite cymbals.
The only Lion/China I will use....great sound and takes the punishment.
This is my second one. Just like iron agogo bells from Africa have "that" sound....these cymbals have that sound! Brash crash, but it's rideable.
This 20" China is very nice. Good to ride on, crash, and just be there for whatever else might happen. The sound is good enough that some of my Chinas that cost 4 times as much (at least!), will be going to a musical instrument selling site. It has a lot of character and still blends with the other cymbals and the music. It makes me happy.
it does have that sound that I love, but the mount-hole is off center. Not a deal breaker and I will keep it, but it does cause some unwanted movement, sometimes.
It's a beautiful, good quality cymbal for the price. It has a great sustain, much like a small gong. It also has a great, medium-low pitch range. My only small complaint is that the attack volume is a little lower than I prefer, but I anticipate that will increase with some usage. I highly recommend it!
Personally I would like to see a version of this, 20" or 22", with rivets installed. The larger sizes sound much better compared to some of the 14" and 16" versions.
I own the 12", 14", 16", 18" and 20" Models of these, and they put my Zildjian 18" High China to SHAME!! The sound is perfect, the price is amazing, and they are just wonderful to have! They are stamped "made in wuhan china", so you know they are good! This version sounds like a gong compared to the smaller sisters in the line, but that is ok with me! =)
