I can't say they're bad, but they're not for me

I'm not sure I can say these are bad, but the pair I received are definitely not up to the standard of the Zildjian finger cymbals. The pitches between the two cymbals are discernibly a half step, and while complexity of sound is desirable in unpitched percussion like this, these feel less musical to me than my Zildjian or Meinl finger cymbals. They might be to some people's taste, but not mine.

I love it!!! beauty from Tibet

Exceeded my expectations. Very musical sounding. Rich high-pitched ching. Wonderful product and built well. The low price makes it a no brainer purchase.

I've been looking for finger cymbals with a nice clear, piercing, shimmery sound. These are the ones! I've played and or owned all the major brands and these are by far, in my opinion, the best one's I've played. Thanks to Steve Weiss Music for providing such a great product at such a great price.

Spectacular sound!

For many years I have looked (actually listened) for a clear, piercing, beautifully pitched set of finger cymbals. I've tried and/or listened to all the major brands in various weights and combinations but just could not find the sound I wanted. If you remember the The Harry Simeone Chorale's early 1960's version of The Little Drummer Boy you'll have an idea of the sound I was looking for. So when I saw this set of finger cymbals from Steve Weiss Music I thought for $10.00 it's more than worth a try. Well, Steve Weiss has done it again! I found my sound! These are wonderful finger cymbals and I would heartily recommend them. Thanks for an excellent product.

These finger cymbals are thicker than any I've seen before and sound great. I highly recommend them.

Love the sound.

I first heard and saw these Tibetan finger cymbals used in a band camp setting. I was so impressed I had to buy them. The sound is loud and pure but complex. They have substantial weight and are hung on a strong, comfortable cord. This is a great product.

I bought these because I just needed some finger cymbals for a multi percussion set up. These are really nice for the price. I've never owned any finger cymbals and I think they sound really pleasant and they have a really good weight and feel to them. They look nice too. The only thing is the strings is a little brittle a little thick that absorbs much of the vibrations, but other than that, highly recommend these to anyone who just needs a decent set of finger cymbals.

These are toys

I bought these after reading the reviews saying that they sound better than the Zildjian's. That person must have some seriously different conceptions than me of what sounds good. I compared these side by side to the Zildjian thick finger cymbals, and it is night and day difference. These things are good sounding toys at best but not even remotely close the the instrument that the Zildjian's are. If you need something for a community drum circle or some other instance where sound quality doesn't really matter, they're fine. If you need finger cymbals for a concert or recording, stay away from these! Spend the extra money and get real instruments instead of throwing away money on these toys.

Great little cymbals!

I have been searching for a pair of these "meditation" cymbals for a long time. I ordered a few pairs from Amazon and, while they were not cheap, they were cheap sounding and poorly made and I always ended up being disappointed and sending them back. Then my friend, a former drummer, tipped me off to this site and I found these. For the price they can't be beat. They're of a substantial size and weight and have a beautiful, clear, pure tone (D and D#) to be exact. I love them. Thank you, Steve Weiss, for offering a quality product at a very reasonable price.

These are less expensive than all other brands, but they sound as good (or in many cases better) than the others. I have a pair of these and a pair of the Zildjian Thick finger cymbals. Both are good and useful for different pitches. These are slightly lower in pitch than the standard versions, but not by much.

A wonderful pair of finger cymbals, certainly. Very clear and bright. So worth the small, and probably unbeatable, price!

We have a pair of Zildjian and Sabian finger cymbals at my University. These (which are remarkably cheaper) beat both. Distinct pitches allow for more interesting "ding," and the cloth rope connecting makes it extremely convenient to keep the pair together and to create a Doppler effect by swinging one or both in circles. They are also larger than the Zildjian or Sabian finger cymbals.

Unbeatable Value!

These finger cymbals sound as good or better than the ones from the "Big Cymbal" manufacturers for a fraction of the price. A sweet addition to my "collection of sounds".
