Fantastic long term investment

I bought this bag when I was in college back in 05 or 06. It held all of the sticks and mallets I could possibly need, and the pockets have plenty of room for the big leather folders of music, a small pad, a metronome, drum key and any other random instruments I may need to transport. It is now 2021 and I am STILL using the same bag to transport everything I need a couple nights a week! The fleece flap is still very soft and in perfect shape, the bottoms of all of the pockets are still in decent shape and the zipper and velcro still works great! The big shoulder strap is starting to pull away from the bag, but it is still fully functional and will likely last a few more years in its current state! Since this beast of a bag lasted nearly 20 years of regular use, I will definitely be buying another when it finally gives out!

I wish there were more pictures of this bag, because I didn't know there'd be the added surprise bonus of this having backpack straps on the opposite side of what's pictured. The only issue with the backpack straps is that the metal connections at the top are exposed and are rather uncomfortable with a full loaded case, and could probably snag whatever shirt/coat you're wearing if using. These can easily be covered with foam/other fabric should you have some lying around. The briefcase handles and should strap are also hand as well. The pockets on either side of the outside of the case are a bit snug. I'm able to get my triangle, beaters, and a binder in one side, but again, it's all fairly tight in there. There's 18 pockets in two rows inside the case, and it holds a surprising amount of sticks and mallets. I was overzealous loading it the first time, and the zipper didn't want to close entirely if it was overloaded. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this case, it seems built to last.

This is a very well made LARGE mallet bag. The two mallet/stick levels allow for ample storage. The protective interior flap is also a nice touch. I was surprised by just how big and roomy this bag was. It was more bag than what I needed at this time. But no one has ever said, "I wish I bought a smaller mallet bag". A cost effective option for serious consideration.

As my mallet collection has grown over the past couple of years, I've had to find several creative ways to tote them around. Thankfully, one of my instructors mentioned the quality of Humes & Berg bags earlier this season, and I finally decided to invest in one. It's been a huge convenience so far; very portable, easy to organize mallets, and it even has two handy pouches for my music and metronome. I highly recommend this product for anyone looking for a quality mallet bag.

Taking advice from Kurt Vonnegut, I would like to say that "If this isn't nice, I don't know what is." I am able to fit 4 sets of vibe mallets, 6 sets of marimba mallets, 3 pairs of timpani mallets, and other assorted sticks & mallets (10 pairs?) with relative ease. I love that there is a cover to protect my mallets while in the bag. Big zipper, big outer pockets, and all of the straps seem to be sown on well--perfect for players with a lot of mallets on a budget.

This mallet bag is huge, and has so much room. It's also very durable and provides great protection for all of your implements.
