These mallets were all that i hoped they would be. Excellent tone on the big bars of a 5-octave marimba and good over a wide range.

This mallet is very different than the other Malletech mallets. It's single tone so you can create a consistent sound. They are heavy, but the cause is for effortless dynamic control. The mallet speaks on all ranges. With the yarn wrapped so tightly it creates an articulate and bright sound. A fantastic mallet is what you have here!

These are very good mallets. They are single tone which allows the performer to get the same consistency in sound across all dynamic ranges. The weight on the mallets allows the user to obtain effortless dynamic changes. Combined with other mallets from the Kevin Bobo line, you can achieve the perfect colors for most any piece.

These mallets are fantastic, the KB11's are an extremely versatile mallet. They are weighted enough so that the the full volume of the marimba can be obtained with minimal effort. They take awhile to break in but once they are they sound amazing... I'm also not sure why these would be good for vibraphone......... they have birch handles and the mushroom shape is created because there is a latex wrapping over a plastic core..... regardless these mallets are extremely durable and well made.

These mallets are extremely heavy, especially for 4 mallet work. A similar sound could probably be found in other, lighter mallets. They would, however, probably be good for 2 mallet literature, or even vibes because of their mushroom shape.
