After 6 years it's still worth it.

I bought my SCOJO V3 in the summer of 2016 as a high school graduation gift to prep myself for college marching band. It then lived in the drum room of the band office for 4 years for myself and other drummers to practice on. It's taken a beating, and I can say it's been well worth the money. The pad itself is very articulated; you can hear every note, buzz, or tick loud and clear. Its definitely louder than my other pads (Vater double sided pad and an Innovative Percussion pad), so be cautious of that. If you're trying to practice quietly, this pad may not be the greatest choice. It's nowhere near a real marching snare, but it's still louder than most pads. The volume is, however, beneficial in hearing intonation, articulation, and control. The only complaint I have is that the rubber is starting to decay. A year ago I noticed tiny holes appearing on the surface. The rubber lost its shine a long time ago. But now, it's starting to give off a "gym floor rubber" smell, and my sticks are leaving well defined marks. I can even leave my thumbprint in the most worn places. I worry somewhat about how the pad will hold up from now on, but after all, this pad was living in a 30-person drumline practice room for 4 years. While the rubber may not be holding up "for a lifetime of drumming," I will gladly buy a new pad once this one is completely burnt out, and I think that in itself shows how good this pad is.

This ScoJo Pad is really nice it is not to heavy and the sound is incredible! The oval patch is super responsive and feels like a Kevlar head! The rebound is just like a marching snare drum! You can hear all different dynamics while playing also great for beginners! Overall a must have! 10/10 product

Bought this for my son who plays the snare drum at home. He loves it ! Helps him practice for his solos & school activities. Highly recommend it closest to a real snare drum.

Awesome!

This pad has a great feel, very articulate, and provides great sound quality at lower playing heights like 3 and 6 inches... Next, The rim is very durable and doesn't destroy my sticks...Finally, the laminate- that thing feels very close to the edge of a snare head and that is what I use it for, but it can also be used for other playing zones...
