Weight Settlements

People are saying that their pairs have been very different from each other, but all sticks will be different. If you want the same weight and pitch, write a comment when you order saying you want a consistant density between pairs and you'll be set. Also, higher density pairs offer a higher tone quality and feel more "real", so they would be good to ask for too.

Great the first time

I thought my first pair was perfect. They weren't warped, they were even in weight, and they had a great feel to them. But my second pair was terrible. Different weights, they were lighter than the first pair, and one was obviously warped. My opinion from the first pair I would say these are great sticks and I would recommended them, but from the second pair not so much.

inconsistent but otherwise good

For the first pair I bought, the pitch and weight were a match but one was warped by a mm or two and the other wasn't at all. For the second pair, there was about a half step between the pitches, and the weight difference between each stick was noticable when compared using one hand, but they were warped the same by about a mm. They were also a whole lot lighter than the first pair. I haven't owned or inspected many sticks, but innovative and vic seem a bit better in regards to pitch and total weight. The weight distribution along the sticks makes them still feel great overall, and the nylon heads are made of some really hard and durable plastic that has no mold lines. I like how the line in the middle makes them look nice when only half taped. It seems like these companies should tell you how they are MEANT to be taped though. They must be considering it when designing the stick, because there are so many ways to do it, and it can significantly change the weight distribution....

I first had vic's tenor hybrid mallets, but after hearing about these and got them, they felt great. At first i didnt notice the difference too much, but they are way more comfortable. I love these sticks for tenors.

Great

Best tenor stick I've ever used. I would give it a 5 but promark is notorious for having defects in its sticks. Although the pair I received had no problems, a pair of snare sticks I got was warped and other tenor sticks came splintered. In my opinion, well worth the gamble for these tenor sticks

Overall not a bad stick... if the pair was in round. The first pair I bought was not in round. The second set I got was better but not as good quality as anything from Innovative or Vic Firth. It's pretty much the Vega but a little improved. The weight is centered and the stick is heavier. Promark has a faster response at the low end which helps with scrapes and such. If you get a good pair it's a pretty decent stick, but I still haven't gotten anything consistent from Promark yet. For now I'm gonna stick with the Innovative TS-2.
