This is perfect for mounting a cymbal onto a bass drum, and it's it's well built and durable. The bracket attaches quickly and easily onto a bass drum, and is then very stable, providing a solid cymbal mount. Attaching or removing a cymbal is as quick and easy as on any cymbal stand with a screw-on (not quick-release) connector. You can spend more, but I don't see the need.

Works fine, but is incredibly difficult to adjust. Opening it in order to attach to my bass drum was a struggle. Now I'm having a very hard time getting it off of the drum. the metal is most likely cheap and bends easily
Easy to attach, feels secure when played. This attachment will help us perform with fewer players, when it makes musical sense to combine the crash and bass drum parts. Thanks for great service and a good accessory!

I suggest attaching the cymbal before putting it on the drum, but once in place, this device is sturdy and reliable.
This is a great gadget for combining BD and cymbals in concert. It works well, though I could wish for a way to make the mount a bit tighter.
A "must" for concert bands with small percussion section where a cymbal player is not always available. Easy to attach to bass drum. Has proved satisfactory in concert use for all types of music.
Purchased by the Orchid City Brass Band in West Palm Beach, Florida this attachment is a must for every group's percussion section. It takes away any worry of not being able to cover a part in the percussion section for any reason. A fabulous piece of equipment and at a great price.
For the money, this has to be one of the best purchases I have made. I was nervous when I bought it, as the picture does no justice to this product, and I could not tell how big it was, not whether it was anything more than plastic...as soon as I opened it, I could tell it would work great. It is much bigger than the picture makes it look, and it is all metal, so it holds up very well. Does not damage drum, and stays tight even with heavy cymbals. This makes playing marches ( and other music) so much easier when you have limited players.
I play with a couple of community concert bands weekly and I often have to choose between cymbals or bass drum. I was desperate to find a solution. When I saw saw this cymbal mount online, I had some doubts about how sturdy it would be. There was precious little information on the product anywhere that I could find. I took the plunge and was pleasantly surprised to find that it held a 21" crash (pretty heavy) very firmly and allowed vigorous strikes from any angle. This hardware is more substantial than it appears to be in the pictures. I have not actually played any scores all the way through yet but the mount has already exceeded my expectations. One of the groups I play with has the other mount ($15.00) carried by SWM. I found that cymbal mount to be a bit wobbly even with a small cymbal. I hope this review helps. -Kevin
I have been using this for 8 shows a week over the last 5 years in my pit percussion setup. Still going strong. Once in a while it works itself a little loose but that can be expected with continuous use. Highly recommended!
Mounts and dismounts easily on and off the rope tension drum, does not leave any marks on the hoops and yet holds the mounted 14" btm hi-hat VERY sturdy.
