This was just what I needed. It would have cost nearly 200 to get the name brand stand. This fit my 24" bar perfect that came with my early '80's Viking Rototoms. So off-brand that I only found a couple of mentions of it. The stand also gets up high enough to clear my Rogers hi hat stand. Having gone over 30 years without my 6, 8 and 10 toms it feels so good like I'm whole again. Others have said they had to modify it to fit their bars. I think maybe their bars were off size cause mine fit perfectly. The stand seems very sturdy and I hope it is as durable as it looks.

The stand is of decent quality.
The rail clamp is 1 1/8". The rail I had was 1 1/8". Spent about three hours grinding the rail in order for the clamp to fit.
Be advised, measure your rail beforehand!

Nice stand, but does not accommodate old rails. Slide is 1 1/8", which is the exact dimensions of my slide. Will be doing some machining here.

I have been looking for a replacement stand for some roto toms andhave been disappointed as to what I have seen, until this stand. Very sturdy and solid. Great price and quick delivery. Great experience with this vendor.

Perfect fit for my non-Remo 6-8-10" roto toms. No modifications needed. Wish it was a little taller so the toms don't interfere with hi hat stand post. I will swap the base of one of my cymbal stands to accommodate. Ranked it 4 stars a not sure about build quality yet but was able to get my very old roto toms added back to the kit.

Seeing the price I was worried that this would be junk or a loose, wobbly, weak stand. To my surprise this is an AWESOME stand. Fairly heavy duty and fit the RotoTom bar perfect!

Been looking FOREVER for JUST the stand to replace my old, broken original Roto Tom stand. This is the one! No need to break the bank on an OEM replacement. This one is actually designed BETTER than the original. Holds the roto tom bar tight and secure, no wobble and stays put. Buy with confidence!
Functional But Needed A Small Adaptation

The stand I received was functional but the bar receiver was not machined evenly. One side accepted the track but the other side didn't (it was too small). A few light passes with a metal file fixed the problem. Not a big deal but it took 5 minutes or so to get everything to fit correctly.

As another reviewer remarked, the stand needed "a slight bit of modification" to fit. Not sure if this is what he meant, but in my case, the roto-tom rail would not fit into the opening on the holder. This necessitated a few hours of grinding away at the holder with a metal-grinding bit on the end of a drill. (A nice tool and die set-up would've likely worked better.) Not the way I prefer to spend my time. But since this seems to be the only alternative on the market, I did what was necessary. It isn't pretty and I'm not sure that the rail will ever come out again after I hammered it in, but after all that, yeah, it works. Sigh.

I like this stand a lot for mounting the rail/track that roto toms sit in EXCEPT the rail that I had was just barely too big to fit in the rectangle provided by this stand. My rototoms are ancient so I'm not going to blame the stand. Luckily I was able to just take a standard workshop file and file away at the open on the stand that I bought. I also sanded down my rototom track/rail a little bit. After about 30 minutes of sanding/filing, I was able to make it work as very snug fit but it works!
I explored many other options and this is still the best option I have found for mounting a roto tom rail/track system.

These stands are impossible to find anywhere else. My roto toms are old so my bar was slightly larger than what these stands are made for. After a little filing it fit perfectly. If your toms are old you WILL have to file the rectangular holes to fit but it is worth it.

Had a set of roto Tom's and a broken stand. This stand works great and actually lets me arrange the set better than the original. That may be why the stand broke. All well now. Back up and on my way. Thank you Steve.

Overall I am pleased with my purchase. I've been looking for that particular stand for awhile, so to finally have it is a great relief. Only bummer is when it arrived at my door, an important wing-nut was broken, probably during shipping. So I had to find the right size to replace it which was a little effort but not too bad. Glad to have it.. ..
