Beautiful piece for a marimbist. We purchased this piece for our son for his state competition. It is a serene piece that makes you think you are relaxing in the rain.

This was my first solo with four mallets, and now my students are using it for competitions. Very tuneful and easy on the ears of musicians and non-musicians alike (so much percussion music sounds harsh to the uninitiated). I highly recommend all of Mitchell Peters' marimba solos to beginner/intermediate level percussion students and their instructors.

Thank you for having great percussion music available! It seems local music stores don't keep a lot of percussion music in stock, and you have all the great resources available, like this solo!

After ordering, the music came pretty quick. I ordered for my daughter who was asked by band director to do a solo of the song on the marimba. She was very happy with it and excited. I am very happy with my purchase and the whole transaction.

This was my first four mallet piece. It's fun and cool sounding but after you take the time to prepare it well it starts getting somewhat annoying. Still a great beginning piece for four mallets and is definitely a more challenging choice above Sea Refractions or other beginning pieces.

This is a great intro piece into 4 mallet playing. Everyone will enjoy playing and listening to this piece. It's challenging but not overly difficult.

Yellow After The Rain is basically THE Beginning Marimba Solo. A bit overplayed to the point of almost being clich perhaps, but a good piece nonetheless. A great piece to start on for the beginner, or to study and use as practice for the more intermediate student, as it addresses a lot of technical issues.
