Excellent work! This is a very relaxing composition that renders easy listening that allows you to follow the flow of the music as if you were reading lyrics to a song.
Description
Dimension 5 is a multiple percussion duet. The piece is based on the number five and is filled with five bar phrases and groupings of five notes. Concepts from the additive process of Steve Reich's piece Six Marimbas, along with ideas from Reich's Piano Phase, and Moore's obsession with the number five came to play in the composition of this piece.

Joe W. Moore III is an up and coming percussionist and percussion composer. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance at the University of Central Florida where he studies with Professor Jeffrey Moore and Kirk Gay.
As a composer for percussion Joe hopes to aid in the expansion of literature for all areas of percussion, especially for marimba, to help it become a more common solo instrument. He has written several pieces for this instrument that are both musically and technically challenging. His works also include compositions for multi-percussion and keyboard duos.
