Afterimage by Donald Crockett was premiered by soloist Lynn Vartan. This piece requires a vast array of instruments designed to complement and accent each other. Composer Donald Crockett is currently Professor and Chair of the Composition Department and Director of the Contemporary Music Ensemble at Thornton School of Music at USC, and Senior Composer-in-Residence with the Chamber Music Conference and Composers' Forum of the East. His compositions have been performed by such ensembles as the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, Kronos Quartet, Charlotte Symphony, and many more.
