Die Zwitschermaschine by Al Payson is an engaging little percussion solo written for a small setup. A sonic depiction of the famous Paul Klee painting, it presents quirky quasi-mechanical rhythms on non-pitched instruments and includes an optional short contrasting section for a mallet instrument.
