A Few Moments of Fun by John H. Beck is ideal for recitals, and showcases each player's skills at the grade 5+ level. The use of timpani gives the middle section a rather serious, symphonic character, while the improvisation section gives players a chance to cut loose and have some fun. Player 1 plays bongos, timbales and timpani; Player 2 plays tom-toms and timpani (each player plays 1 timpani).
