Ancient Voices - Distant Storms by Michael Varner for percussion quintet. This piece is based on the music and sounds the composer heard while visiting Japan.

Instrumentation:
Player 1 - xylophone, snare drum, triangle
Player 2 - bells, snare drum, tambourine
Player 3 - bells (vibraphone or any mallet instrument), snare drum, timpani, sleigh bells
Player 4 - chimes, snare drum, low tom, 5 temple blocks
Player 5 - bass drum, low tom, gong, suspended cymbal
