The Black Swamp SoundArt 10” Double Row Tambourine – Chromium 25 & Bronze Jingles, Synthetic Head (TC1S) gives percussionists an exceptionally broad tonal range in a single instrument, backed by the consistent reliability of a Remo Renaissance synthetic head. Built on a solid, steam-bent ash shell, this 10” double row tambourine alternates Chromium 25 and phosphor bronze jingles. At softer dynamics the Chromium 25 leads with dry, crunchy articulation; as volume increases, the phosphor bronze activates, adding dark warmth, depth, and sustain.

The SoundArt’s dual-depth jingle slot design maximizes the dynamic contrast between the two alloys, ensuring each contributes distinctively as volume shifts. Every jingle is hand-hammered and custom-fitted to the shell for a seamless, responsive feel across the full range of play.

I was looking for a good quality concert tambourine that would cover all of the bases: True orchestral tambourine sound (check), good quality (check), a synthetic head so I won't have to worry about temp and humidity changes (check), and jingles that offer a good blend of warm (or wet) sound and brightness (check, and check), And with Blackswamp products, it's difficult to go wrong. I am very pleased with my purchase. I can't wait to use it on my next gig.

I bought this tambourine about a month ago and i love it! it sounds awesome and i use it whenever i can. all of my percussion friends love it too. I thought it was great that it came with a carrying case and a tube of bees wax. i would have paid $130 just for the tambourine itself. The bees wax works great and makes it very easy to play thumb rolls. i would recommend anyone who wants a tambourine to buy this one!
