Description

Mudra is an original composition by Bob Becker for percussion quintet. It features a soloistic tom-tom part that is rudimental throughout and an advanced vibrphone part. The piece is an edited version of music originally composed to accompany modern choreography.

This is definitly a grade 5-6 percussion solo. Used it for a senior recital in undergrad studies. All the parts are demanding in the keyboards and the demand for the soloist(Prepared drum to represent a tabla/played with sticks) is a continuous 16th note diddle accent with a 16th note triplet section at the end requiring LLR LLR... It is extremely powerful and a must for a professioal ensemble. About 13mins long.
