Description

The DeMorrow 3 Octave Padouk Practice Marimba features a bar set designed to deliver a proper sound and feel without resonators. Even though the dynamic range is less than that of a performance instrument, this Practice Marimba draws attention to player skill sets like balance between hands, balance of chords, direction of musical line, control of striking area, and rate of speed of the mallet off of the bar.

This should be in every middle school band room in the country. The keyboard has a full sound, no cheaper sizes or awful tuning. It is a full-size keyboard and the padauk sounds fine. I would not step up to rosewood for this instrument. The frame has been redesigned to be lighter, yet as well built as any professional model. Without resonators, it is just softer, this is a MUST for middle schools to provide exceptional quality for learning keyboard percussion. The range is suitable for any beginning or intermediate method book. Strongly recommend based on high quality build and sound when compared to the competition.
