This cymbal is amazing, better than I ever anticipated! It crashes crisply with a brief sustain, yet rivals the power of my 15" crash. The sound quality surpasses my Zildjians and the price beats them too.
I've had this cymbal for almost a year now. All that I've got to say is that this splash is the best one I have ever owned! It sounds PERFECT. It sounds extremely crisp, with just the right amount of cut. The decay is just about perfect; it isn't too long of a decay, nor is it too short. This is my 2nd favorite cymbal to hit, just barely right underneath a 19" A Custom that I own!
I got this for acoustic and recording as a small trash/splash/crash... which is a tall order and this cymbal totally does it. It has a minimum volume to make it sound full, which bummed me out and is why I gave it 4 stars. It is VERY thin and the sound transforms at about 3 different levels. The first level is mellow and shimmery, the second is trashy and full in the mid range, the third is a crash that easily rivals my 14 and 16 for volume and punch and has a quick decay. Overall, it warms up with a high pitch in a ballad, splashes beautiful, trashy color at a medium volume, and punches through anything super-loud with gorgeous power and bright color. I would recommend the whole Bliss line but this one especially is really quite a steal.
