This is great if you can get it to sit still! When you just set it down, it will gradually move around because of the weight. It's only useful on a stand.

My daughter has a 12" one at home. I bought this so that she can carry it to school or lessons easily. Very happy!!!

This is the best practice pad i have ever used, it has very good rebound. It is also the quietest pad i have ever used.
