Ludwig Classic Maple Drums established themselves years ago as some of the finest drums ever built. Ludwig continues to keep this standard today with its Downbeat 20 Drum Set Shell Pack. The Downbeat Kit is perfect for the professional musician on the go. This 3 Piece Drum Set has a small footprint on stage or in the car for transport. This kit is not only perfect for smaller ensembles and venues it can also hold its own on a larger gig when it's all miked up.

The Shells

Ludwig uses a 7 ply 6mm shell construction on the Downbeat kit. The baring edges are cut at a 45 degree angle and 1/16" outside edge. This is then sanded flat for perfect drum head seating. The Classic Maple Shells are known for their absolute professional tonal qualities but also the ability of the shells to adapt to any player, stage, or environmental circumstances. It's unpredictable out there on the road.
