Mallets are a bit more on the harder side. They are also quite light for those who prefer heavier mallets like myself.
Marimba One Round Sound mallets are the perfect marriage of Marimba One sound quality and the needs of percussionists. The RSB3 is a medium mallet, perfect balance for the middle range, with a birch handle.
Marimba One Round Sound series mallets feature the same Marimba One excellence at a more affordable price. They are a lightweight mallet with warmth and articulation. This is the mallet that works to make you sound great. Double-wound using Marimba One’s exclusive technology.

Hello, After the delay in receiving my Round Sound Mallets (however Steve Weiss did a nice thing and refunded my $8.95 shipping costs), the Round Sound Mallets (3) are disappointing. Here is why: I have 2 pairs of Round Sound Mallets from 2019/Spring. They are medium soft (3). So I ordered another 2 sets a few weeks ago. THEY ARE NOT MEDIUM SOFT, EVEN THOUGH THEY SAY 3. DID SOMETHING CHANGE IN THEIR MANUFACTURING PROCESS, WHEREBY THE 3'S ARE NOW MEDIUM HARD? I WOULD NOT HAVE SPENT MONEY TO ORDER THESE HAD I KNOW. This is the first disappointment in an order, probably "ever".
The stick feels a little too light for the weight of the mallet head...Just a little off balanced
Marimba One decided to come up with an inexpensive mallet but what they've come up with is a mallet that doesn't even meet the expectations of other companies cheaper mallets. You may think it's worth the price but when you start to compare the sound of these mallets to basically any other mallet you begin to realize that these mallets are simply a rip off. Marimba One has done a disservice to their customers by advertising a mallet that does not come close to their description of perfect balance. Please do not waste your money with these.
These are amazing mallets! Marimba one never fails to deliver with quality products even for relatively cheap mallets. These sound great on almost all 5 octaves of the marimba. The only downside to these mallets is the only hard messes available are 1,3 and 5 with no medium hard and medium soft available, YET! Hopefully marimba one pulls through with 2s and 4s.
