The description mentions "a firm, secure grip." Umm, I hate to say this, but that is not true. The flex spring that connects the two wooden pieces is so wide that you'd have to put a music history book on the stand to get a firm grip. The clamp does not close down tightly on itself - it leaves a gap that grips nothing. It is pretty hard to look professional at a beachside wedding gig while chasing pages of the bride's requested song as they blow around the beach.
