My son who is a drummer asked for these sticks for his birthday. He's been using them for a few weeks now and loves them. Will definitely buy again. Also, fast shipping!
Description
The Promark Glenn Kotche Active Wave 570 Drumsticks are designed with the input of Mr. Kotche, the renowned drummer from the acclaimed band Wilco. These sticks are coated with Promark's ActiveGrip. A coating that is heat sensitive. As the players heat increases the coating will become tackier. This will prevent sticks slipping out of a players sweaty hands. In addition to the coating the handle has the WaveHandle, which is contoured to provide addition grip and comfort for the fingers.

Excellent Sticks

Just tried a couple of pairs of these and just ordered more. Very comfortable stick with a long taper and acorn tip. The active grip is great and the wave may take some time to get used to but you are not going to drop these sticks whether you have sweaty or dry hands. I have been ordering and trying so many sticks from Steve Weiss and so far I think I will use these for the time being. I play several styles of music and these are fine for me and seem to work for any genre. Sticks are personal and all don't work for everyone. But, I think they are worth a shot if you want to try something different. As usual Steve Weiss Music is tops!

I've been using these regularly for a couple of years now for my rock gig. Grip is great, never slip, and I have sweaty hands. I find the wave handle to be comfortable. Took a gig or two to get used to, but never looked back. It was exactly what I was looking for in terms of length and diameter. The only knock is the price.

I picked these sticks up because I was looking for something new. Everything that I play with these days uses the same solution of a waxed grip or a stick wrap. These sticks not only use the active grip technology from Promark (by far the best coating I've played with) but they also have the waved handle. Be advised that the waved handle doesn't always fit everyone's hands but I find it to be an added level of security so that the stick feels stuck in my hands. Definitely worth the purchase.
